Choosing which pages to keep often means looking through a contract, a scanned form, or a report you would rather not hand to a stranger's server. Every step of deleting pages, from the first preview to the final download, happens entirely inside your browser.
Your PDF Never Leaves Your Device
Both the page previews and the final file with pages removed are generated using pdf.js and pdf-lib running in your browser tab. Your document's bytes are never transmitted anywhere, including to us.
The Page Previews Render Locally Too
Seeing every page as soon as you upload a file does not require a round trip to any server. pdf.js renders each preview directly on your device, the same way the final file is generated.
Why Local Processing Matters Here
Deciding which pages to remove usually means reading every page first, which is exactly the kind of look you would rather not give away to a remote server. Running pdf-lib on your own device keeps that content in your hands the whole time.
No Page Content Read or Analyzed
pdf-lib only removes the pages you mark and rebuilds the file from what remains. It does not parse, extract, or analyze the text, images, or layout on any page.
Files Never Stored Temporarily
After your edited copy downloads, the source file is cleared from memory. Nothing about it is cached or written to disk on our end at any point.
No Log of Which Pages You Delete
We do not record which files you edit, which pages you removed, or when you used the tool. Anonymous Google Analytics tracks site visits only, never file content or tool activity.
A scanned document often picks up a blank cover sheet, a duplicate page, or a section that does not belong in the final copy. Removing those pages before sending a contract, report, or application keeps the file focused on what the reader actually needs to see.
Marking a page for deletion does not touch the file yet. Only when you click Delete Pages and Save PDF does pdf-lib read the original document, skip the pages you marked, and write a new file containing everything else in its original order.
It is easy to mark the wrong page while scanning through a long document. Clicking the same icon again restores that page instantly, before anything is generated, so a change of mind never means starting over with a fresh upload.
Choosing which pages to keep means looking at every page first, which is often the most sensitive part of handling a document. Doing that inside your browser with pdf-lib, instead of uploading the file to a remote server just to remove a page, means the content is never exposed to anyone else in the process.

Your PDF exists in your browser's memory only for the moment it takes pdf-lib to rebuild the file without the pages you marked. Once your edited copy downloads, there is no uploaded copy left on any server to delete.
The pages you mark are permanently removed when the new PDF is generated. pdf-lib rebuilds the file without them, so they are not present in the download at all, not just hidden from view.
